In February I moved to Frankfurt with my brother Matti. Since then I've been training with Kathrin Klaas at the performance centre and competing for LG Eintracht Frankfurt. She does a brilliant job, and I don't think I'm hard to coach either.
The European final in Birmingham was my toughest competition. After four rounds I was in fifth place, caught in a negative spiral, and honestly just wanted to go home. I must have pulled myself back a hundred times during that final, using everything I've practised with my coach, my psychologist and in meditation. In round five came 81.30 metres and silver.
A month later I won the first Ultimate Championship in Budapest with 81.46 metres in my first throw, even though I fell in the wet circle in round two. I've switched to a vegan diet, and we keep working on technique. The German record of 83.40 metres should be within reach.
